Over 50 Families Impacted: The Power of Partnership and Purpose in Cleveland

Cleveland, OH – In a powerful example of collaboration, purpose, and community-driven action, over 50 families in Greater Cleveland were directly impacted by the generosity and commitment of the Greater Cleveland Delta Foundation and Zeta Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

This effort wasn’t just a one-time donation — it was a heartfelt mission to uplift, empower, and provide for those who need it most. From food distributions and resources the impact was tangible, emotional, and deeply appreciated.

Purpose-Driven Leadership

At the center of this powerful initiative stood key community champions:

Their leadership helped ignite a movement of giving back — with Zeta Omega Fraternity Brothers standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the dynamic women of the Delta Foundation, including President Kathi Howard-Primes, whose guidance continues to lead the foundation with compassion and strategy.

More Than Just Donations

Families who received assistance were not just handed goods — they were offered hope. One mother said, “I’ve never had anyone treat me with so much dignity. They didn’t just give me food — they listened.” Another elder shared, “Seeing Black men and women working together to serve the people gave me joy. It reminded me that we still have leaders who care.”

From children receiving back-to-school supplies to elders being connected to local healthcare resources, this partnership created a ripple effect of community care.

A Lasting Legacy

The efforts from this collaboration between Delta Sigma Theta’s Greater Cleveland Delta Foundation and Omega Psi Phi’s Zeta Omega Chapter remind us that service is the rent we pay for living — and these leaders are paid in full. The “23 Sons of Resurrection and Rage” are a living testament to Omega’s legacy of uplift, and the women of the Delta Foundation continue to sow seeds of change across neighborhoods in need.
